Chorus Kicks Off The Season with Concert
The White Oak Elementary Chorus and Concert Choir had either their "last rehearsal in front of an audience" or their first concert of the season on Saturday. Entertaining parents, friends and attendees at the annual Coweta Christmas event at the fairgrounds, our chorus sang four seasonal hits and wowed the crowd with their vocal range.
Mrs. Bartlett brought the children on stage and went through their program almost flawlessly. Click the link above for photos.

Promethean Interactive Boards Are Dynamic Teaching Tools
High technology has entered the classroom in more ways than the personal computer. The Promethean Smart Board allows teachers to bring an engaging learning tool into our classrooms, holding the attention of our students while teachers deliver their message to an eager audience.
Basically turning a white board into an interactive computer touch screen, the Promethean Smart Board hooks the classroom up to the Internet, allowing teachers to leverage lesson plans from teachers around the world and bring the very best methods to our students.
Your White Oak PTO supports the purchase and installation of this technology in all age appropriate classrooms at White Oak Elementary. So far your PTO has purchased Promethean Smart Boards for all fifth grade classrooms, a couple in the third grade and a full school Smart Board lab. Each board costs about $2500, down from over $4,000 just two years ago.
Click on the videos to the right for a short explanation of the capabilities of Premethean Smart Boards. Our goal is to place these in all classrooms at White Oak Elementary.
